Has anyone seen a pic of the new Special Edition DS650. It looks pretty cool. I hope the parts to make mine look that way are available soon.

I think they just reversed the yellow and black.

 

I like the yellow look,myself.

 

How does that 250r hold up to the Bombardier? Ever after all that after market stuff.

 

shamen555,one of the reasons I got the DS,was because a stock DS,and Raptor would out pull my R.It did not stomp my piped R,but it was definitely out pulling it.I was impressed.But at first I was going for the Raptor,but started hearing about problems with them(axles,A-arms,engines sucking dirt).I thaught maybe not.I started checking into the DS,and really liked the fact that it was over built.It was heavier,but was put together very good.I got on the one at the dealer,and noticed it was very comfortable but big.I asked the dealer if they have had any problems with them,he told me that,only one out of all that he had sold,(I think it was 17-or18)came back for a short in the electrical system.I got the DS.So far I love it.The ride is plush compared to my R and EX,and all the atv's I have owned.But I must say I have a few problems,My fan,and chain rollar were bad on my DS.It was all coverd in my warranty.These seem to be notorious problems on the DS,But most people dont have these problems.I think that all these machines can do things the other can not,and it would be hard to say that(one) was way better then the others.The R has it's pluses and so does the EX, and DS. Just my two cents........

 

hey guys, in comment to the race of which one is best. Well this weekend I got enticed into a drag race with a 250R. I really thought that this guys R was gonna run right next to me. Suprisingly I didn't see him at all during the little drag. Poor guy was hot rodding around on all the county roads near by and I went out and gave him a spanking. Well there is my story for all you wondering, although I do not know what all the guy had done to his 250R.

 

Thats one of the reasons I got the DS,but I was beat by a Raptor!My R,is fast,but two guys on new Raptors (one black,one blue)wanted to race down a river bed.To make it real juicy,their was a guy on a Quadzilla 500 wanting to get in on the action.We all lined up,and me and the Quadzilla were neck and neck about every race,but bothe Raptors would gradually pull away from me and the quadzilla.We must have raced about five times,and in one corner of my eye I see blue the other I see black pulling in front.First time My two stroke was beat buy a four stroke,including my 400 EX.I was impressed that a four stroke would consistently out pull me in a drag.I was going to get a Raptor,but held off because I kept hearing about bending parts.Then I started hearing great things about the DS,and got to checking on it.The first thing I noticed,was how well built the DS is(over built)compared to all the high performance quads out there,including the FX400.Then I watced a stock Raptor race a stock DS and the rest is history. I love my DS....................
