I have a renegade 500 and I'm trying to find a pipe for it. I see that some companys have one for the 800 but not for the 500. Dose anyone know if a company makes one or is going to make one for the 500?

woods seems like a good place to start and if they don't have one with enough interest they would probably make one

 

I emailed them about the 500 and they replied with a price sheet for the 800 system - pipe, intake, and optimizer. I don't want to say that woods is clueless, but the 800 intake would definitely drown the 500 out IMHO. Hopefully, they will make a pipe for the 500 soon.

UPDATE: I spoke with the HMF guys and the Utility series pipe for the 800 will bolt right on the 500. When I asked about the optimizer, the HMF team didn't think the one they sell for the pipe would work on the 500. I called Dobeck to check on optimizer, and the extremely helpfull tech told me that Dobeck makes the optmizers for HMF, and he said to buy HMF optimizer and call them back (Dobeck) if HMF couldn't map the 500, and Dobeck would be glad to help get it right.

If the pipe fits on the bike would it be bad for the engine scince the pipe is made for the 800?

 

HMF said the core size is the same on the pipes. To contact Dobeck, I just pulled them up online and hit contact.

I spoke to the guys at Ron Woods too and one of the Can Am factory guys is racing a 500 with Woods 800 exhaust on it.

 

anybody know if the 800 utility HMF really fits on the 500?
