my son has a 2004 ds 50 since it was new it wouldn't rev out .any thing past half throttle theres no change in speed or rpm .it seem to be overly rich .the carb is spotless exhaust is clear air filter is clean even tried with out filter .are they jetted too big from the factory to slow them down ? any ideas ?

 

Maybe some type of fire limiter with the CDI.
