As far as the Raptors go.... They are very hard to beat. Probably the best open bike you can purchase right now. Tons of mods for a fraction of the price. I still don't think that the platform is as good as the DS, but when you couple weight, displacement, EFI, and lots of aftermarket support - it's an extremely hard package to beat.

Mario's sled would have been hard to beat in the Big Bore but there again, those Raptors are very powerful and very light. Rocket Factory knows their stuff. Not to mention that they are about as clean as clean gets.

 

If it is in fact Feb 23rd, I'll have to get in touch with Mario somehow. We've got some but kicking to do. I'll plan on being there with my Toy Hauler, sand car and Rhino.

I'm plaining on making it, the only thing I can offer to the cause is a wide band O2 meter for tuning.

 

That might be just the ticket! I'll try and email Mario or PM him. Maybe we can get something going.

Mike, I am confident with a 35 shot we would WALK them no prob.

I have the latest cams just sitting here I just havnt had the cahones to send this motor off. I think I need new springs and a little freshening. But with the new cams on just motor I think the black bus will hit 70 MPH ON MOTOR no prob with a brutal holeshot.

To preserve your ol signature 730 I think only one guy can do the job locally huckleberry.

Mike- If we run this combo and our DS runs clean on race day and we dont beat the rappys good I give you a G note. THATs how confident I am with this motor and set-up.

Im in for the Feb 23 hope to see you all on the hill. Mario's old stock bore has a big bore and some new carbs from Eric, she should be fast.

 

Bill they are custom cams from Eric. I have dynoed the difference between the type of cam im running and these sick cams I have to put in... There is a huge difference. We could not launch the stockbore with these newer cams over 8500rpm with a +4 without flipping going over. These newer cams are projected to gain 3-5 more hp peak as well as make a NICE curve.
