Charging problems

I was pulling my hair out for weeks now trying to figure out why my DS wouldn't charge the battery. I tested the system and found the stator was putting out 25 volts ac. The voltage at the battery varied from 10.0 to 13.5. When I turned on the light it would eventually drain the battery. I ordered a new Procom rectifier and it did not solve the problem. Then on Friday night I began to search the web for answers. That is when I found this forum on ATV Connection. I scanned several items and found some great advice about checking the ground. I disconnected the chassis ground, ground the surface down with a die grinder. Holy molly it worked! I had a great ride to day thanks to this tool and your experiences. I hope in time my input will assist some of you.

Thanks Again!
