Default Has anyone ever been here???

Have grown very tired and weary of the insane crowds and chopped up terrain at Glamis and Dumont for any holiday period and won't be going back on any of the said dates. A couple of us are headed here for MLK weekend and we're wondering if anyone else has been there before that might offer to shed some light on what it has to offer. Open to all input and suggestions for the place if so.
Thanks

"The desert tortoise is a federally protected species. Please do not handle or disturb these animals; Look but don't Touch!"

"Digging up or destroying trees and shrubs or harassing wildlife or livestock is prohibited."

Eating the tortoise might be considered harassing, better be careful.

Have fun guys, wish I could join you. I will be close, have to work in Bakersfield next week, but have to be back up north for the weekend.

Get ahold of Learnem while you're in town. Jason lives there and is a helluva nice guy, knows all of the hot eating and entertaining spots.

Hey Ace, we go out there every so often. The dune area is pretty cool, but REALLY small.

Looks like there is a few days worth of trail and open desert riding and exploring to be done, is that about right? And it also looks like dirt tires might be a good idea. Have you been to Johnson Valley? A hand full of dunes there too but not enough to make it worth running the paddles for. Strictly dirt tires at JV.
Got any pointers or hot spots to check out?
