Default Water tight Outlander CVT

Recently read a shootout between the Polaris 800 and the 08 Outlander 800 in a QUAD magazine. In the article they clearly stated the new CVT designed housing on the new Outlander failed miserably in preventing water from entering after only riding in about 6" of water at a conservative pace. I personally haven't experienced this problem on my 07 Renegade but was thinking about getting a 08 "X" and as far as I know it has the same new design used on the new Outlander. Has anyone else had this problem on a new 08 Renegade or Outlander? By the way, they also clearly noted the Outlander easily outperformed the Polaris in not only power, but handling as well. FYI
