Default Stock Carb Leaking

I recently put my OMR stock carb back on my DS,,,(TM45 for sale)..It started right up, but I noticed at the very bottom of the bowl, gas was dripping pretty good out of that drain/vent...There is a screw there and I tried tightening that up...no help.

Any advice?

Check the drain on the bowl, if it is tight then your floats are set too high. I had this happen on my stock carb once.

Your floats just might be sticking. Give the bowl a couple of good taps with the handle end of screwdriver and see it that stops it. If not adjust your floats.

I don't think he's talking about the bowl vent. He's talking about the bowl drain at the very bottom of the bowl. I had the same problem. Long of the short? I just let it go. It stopped when it filled up with mud hehehe.

Yeah, I am talking about the very bottom of the bowl, the drain I guess. Whats the fix for that...not really wanting to plug her up with mud though!

If it is the bowl drain and NOT the vent, then do I need to replace the bowl?

When fuel comes out the float bowl drain:
1- Remove bowl from carb
2- Backoff drain screw 1/4 to 1/2 turn.
3- Flush hot water through drain outlet to backwash debris.
4- Shakeoff excess water or blowoff.
5- Backspray through outlet WD-40, lay flat so it will creep by gravity.
6- In 30 minutes retighten drain screw.
7- Wipe off excessive oil and tests
