Be very careful. A turbo can be a lot of work.
I think most people that HAD turbo's have pulled them out and have gone to street-bike conversions for more power and better reliability.
It just doesn't seem to be the answer most people were looking for.

THE CONVERSION IS INVOLVED...NEED TO BE ABLE TO WELD...AND BEND PIPE MAKE A GAS TANK..CAUSE A STOCK WONT WORK ANYMORE..STUFF LIKE THAT..OR ELSE IT WOULD LOOK LIKE CRAP...ID JUST GO SOME ENGINE MODS...ALTHOUGH IF U COULD WELD..AND DO THE WORK IN THE LONG RUN IT WOULD BE CHEAPER SEEN BUSA ENGINES FOR LIKE 2000 ON EBAY...AND THATS ONE FAAAAAR CHEAPER THAN TURBO KIT LIKE 4-5 GRAND AND FAR CHEAPER THAN COMPLETE ENGINE MODS...LIKE 6 GRAND..I HEARD IF U GOT WITH A GSXR750 U'LL MAKE UR DS LIKE 100LBS LIGHTER THAN STOCK... NOT SURE IF THATS TRUE..NEVER WEIGHED THE ENGINES...BUT SEEN A MODED DS THAT CLAIMED IT...THAT WOULD BE WICKED...LIGHTER AND FASTER....CANT BE BEAT....

I believe he has since removed & sold that turbo kit (Also had Fuel injection).

I know a guy selling a complete Turbo kit if anyone is interested shoot me a PM. I think he still has it
Thanks for the responses, I have seen some video's on the tube but I dont ride sand or anything off road on this DS it is purely for the road. I have a plus 4" swing arm ready to go on in a couple of weeks, its already slammed to the deck and widened 4 inches front and back and running Nos, I just thought with a turbo I could make the gearing even longer so it would cruise on the motorways at lower revs.
If a turbo is a massive job and isnt all its cracked up to be I may as well leave it., I do like the sound of a bike engine going in the quad but it seems a shame to start messing about too much with a year old DS, If anyone knows of an engine that will drop in without any frame modification, please let me know.
