Just wondering what everyone thinks about the MSD ignition. Considering getting one? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!!

 

Yea they have a nice kit u can get for the DS, i heard someone was running one but thats it, i forget who it was tho...

Yeah the one on ebay was the one I was looking at, however I would have to buy an aftermarket tach as well. Just don't know whether to pull the trigger on it or not! Was hoping some guys here might have had some good advice on it!

I don't think they can generate much additional HP (if any) over a Big gun or even the Ron woods for the extra coin. I guess the launch feature might help you if you are REALLY serious about drag racing.

I'm also always leary of buying someone else's used electronics. Most manufacturers will not warranty anything past the original owner.

 

why would u need an aftermarket tach for this? Chumly doesnt ur '05 have a tach already?

 

It is a square wave signal and my tach is not adjustable for it. Even MSD has stated this.

 

thats wierd, MSD makes a part that is not suited for stock electrical components of the DS... well that changed my mind about lookin into one lol

ya it will not work with your tach u have , i had one on my ds and loved it ive had it the vortex and the ron woods and i liked the msd better if i had a choice arain i would choose the msd
