Default Mod help

Have my DS just siting in my trailer right now all taken apart and have been thinking about doing some mods to make it quicker. I read some things about removing the air box but wouldn't sand and everything get in through the air filter?

Only riding I do is dunes and I'm always jumping. Right now all i have done is all the fenders trimmed off, K & N air filter, 20" 10 paddle haulers, and stage IV trinity exhaust.

Everything else is stock and also don't have but loads of money either to build the motor so little things would help...Maybe a CDI?

Thanks guys

grab a cdi, some cams and a ported intake manifold and do the "stock carb mods" and you'd be set

Also, yes take your whole air box off if you mostly ride dunes. Get a K&N with and outerware to put over it for the sand and your set. It will give you more power for sure.

What is this that I hear about the stock carb mods? Does it really do that much for the quad?

Also on removing the air box...where do you guys relocate the thing that mounts to the under side of the air box and don't you get send in the air filter from the tires kicking it up? Don't want to blow a motor...

the carb mods do alottttttttt of good as for the sand, no if the filter is oiled and you have an outerwear ull be fine and as for tires 8 paddle wont be enough paddle you need 9 paddle extremes

Well I'm real happy with my paddles for now so I will just stick with them but if I do remove the air box where to I relocate the object that mounts underneath the air box...any good place you guys know of?

Also on the Carb mods is there a place I can see pictures of what he is talking about...I'm more of a visual person...

Thanks for the help guys
