If you have the eccentric at it's tightest point and there is still slack in your chain then it's time to replace the chain. If it's that worn be sure to check your sprockets too. If they are fish hooking then they definitely need replacing.

Well damn, was hoping that I hadn't wore the chain out already. I didnt try loosening the chain. I'll do that and see if the carrier moves. Thanks for the welcome, when i'm home i'll make the effort to get back on here! The sites changed a little since I used to get on here all the time but good to see all the info is still here!

Loosen the carrier bolts. get the little rod from your tool pack and put it through the rear sprocket into the carrier, there is a little hole to put it in. with you sitting on the bike have someone
pull the bike backwards to tighten the chain.
You should have about a 1/2' to 3/4' play in the chain with you on it.
Tighten carrier bolts up and your good to go.
