Default 2008 Digital Speedmeter problems

Has anyone had problems with the NEW Digital Speedometer on the 800 MAX? Mine gets moister inside when riding down the trails at low speeds. You can not even read the Speed or Tach. It only has 14 miles on it. I just wondering if anyone else has this problem.

They replaced it under the warranty. Get it in ASAP. Other wise they have to replace the whole speedometer which is over $250.00. Mine seems to work fine. The mechanic said the seal had broken on the speedometer. Hope this helps.

The dealer and I looked at a zoomed parts view of the display completely broke down and could not find any seal or gasket, The display does come from the factory with two small silica gel mositer packs placed inside the display.
The Dealer ordered two replacement packs and replaced mine.
He said if this does not correct the problem than BRP will approve a complete display replacement.
Sounds like a temporary fix to me, but I will just play along with the BS, until I get the new display.
Mine will only fog up when the sun comes out and hits the display while riding in cold mountain snow ( no sun never fogs). Never happens in mild weather were I live in the valley. Going to the snow this weekend so I will know if it works or not. Even if it stops the fogging I would think the silica packs will not last foreever.
Hopfully BRP has address this issue on 09 models?????

seems to be a common problem on the outlanders, not so on the renegade they have a sealed unit.
