There is a little yellow wire down below the countershaft sprocket. I think you just need to ground it (check to see if that does it.)
Your green light on your dash will always be on so, you may want to disconnect it so it doesn't burn-out, etc.

I believe Dune Me is referring to the front sprocket. Find the drive chain, there is only one visible chain on the outside of the bike, so if you see a chain, it must be the right one. Unless, of course, you use a chain to lock up your bike, in which case ignore that one. Then, follow the drive chain forward towards the front of the bike. You will see a round price of metal with teeth that the drive chain mates to. That is the front sprocket. Somewhere below that and below the oil filter cover, you will find a tiny wire, which attaches to the motor with a tiny ring connector and nut. That is the neutral wire. All of this is assuming you are referring to a DS 650.
