Default hyabussa motor

i know there are a lot of people doing Bussa conversions. Where is the best place to find a motor? o a motor that would be comprable? I am thinking of building a 2 seat mini car. what parts do you need to run these motors, wire harness, computer etc.? any help would be appreciated. i know this is an atv forum, but as you know i have a bunch of those too. thanks

if you live in a big city you may get lucky and find a good motor/harness/gauges/headers/fuel pump at a motorcycle salvage yard if not hit ebay for a " hayabusa car kit" and ask lots of questions from the seller, depending on year and condition expect to pay 2-3k. Busa is the only way to go in my mind for a small sand car, you will have better resell with that motor than any other.

I agree. . . Busa!!!

Right now I think you are crazy to build your own. There are enough people out there looking to sell theirs that you can pick up a great used one for far less than you can build your own.

I've seen non-turbo / no reverse box / basically, not decked out ones for about $15k.

I've also seen built ones with all the goodies from the high $20's to low to mid $30's. If you add up all the options these cars have on them there is no way you could touch it.

I know someone that is thinking about selling his built one - PM me if you want info.

since i own a small fab shop to build my own is one of those projects i could get my boys involved in and have them learn the pride of" i built that" i know i could get one already finished for a good price but i want to do my own. we just started a 48 ford "rat truck" and a littile sand car would be fun. this is also the first step toward the 5 seater. gotta start some where. not sure if the bussa or another big bike motor, just throwin out some feelers for info at this time. $$$ wil play a part and resale kinda doesn't matter for me ... i could build it out of soild gold & still have to give it away.

I LOCATED A 05 MODEL COMPLETE ENGINE KIT--5K.MILES...$2995.00
888-9529253 OR 409-2990703 ASK FOR RICK...THANKS
This is the motor I baught and it had a little over 3K miles on it and it was in good shape when I recieved it.
Just make sure you get a computer and all of the wireing harness with the motor also the ignition switches and all of the censors and the handle bar switches you will need all of this and get the radiator you will need the bung and the censor and the neck air bleed line off of the stock radiator if you decide to use any other radiator. Just remember it is always a buyer beware on buying these motors I was pretty nervus until I did a compression check on my motor and it checked out great. I ended up pumping it up a little anyways LOL. If you have any question's or need any help with the wiring and censors or anything on your project let me know and I will help you out I live just down the road from you. Heck I will bring my bike and let you feel what a busa feels like :0) You will love the motors They pull like a freight train.
