im 5' 8" at 200lbs ive got a trx450r and i feel a bit big on it the ds650 would fit your size great ive got a buddy thats around your size and he feels right at home on his ds you looked into the raptor700 it might fit you better for track racing the best advice is to go sit on them at a dealer or go to a riding area and see if someone will let you sit on what your wanting ! i have sat on a yfz450 kfx450 ltr450 and they all feel small to the honda

We've got a fellow forum member here who is 6'7", 331lbs. DS 650 fits him just fine, but he doesn't race. I don' think that the 650 would be competitive up against the 450's on a track but open desert type racing you would hold your own...

now is that because its too beefy of a machine to keep up with the lightness of the 450's? if i were to get a 450 can i mod it to fit my size?

Being your size I would consider nothing smaller than the DS650. But to answer your question, yes the 450's would be much more nimble and quicker in a track environment.
