Is a DS650 a good trail bike
#1
I was just wondering if the DS 650 is a good trail bike. I have moved south and since there is no snow down here in NC I am looking at getting into ATV, and have always had DRP products. I am also looking at the Raptor. I am 6'7 285lbs so comfort is a big factor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

DS stands for Dune Sport. It's made wide, long, and heavy to provide the most comfort you can get out of the box. Not necessarily for tight, wooded trails. It's more for sand, dune, and open desert riding. There are alot of us around your size that find them quite comfortable but I would think that the Outlander may be closer to what you're looking for. They are very comfortable also. And if you really want comfort AND performance there is always the Renegade.

I ride mostly trail with my DS. Its wider then other quads but fits the trails fine, its heavy and a pain to lift out of a mud hole and it has no reverse with sucks alot of the time as well, but for some reason i still wouldnt trade it for anything. Buying new though i'd get a renegade, you can't beat it.

Well then the Gade is what is it going to be. Thank you all for all of your help. What do you think would be a good quad for my wife? She likes to go fast but on the other hand she likes to take it easy and enjoy the ride. It would deffintly have to have reverse and e start. Thanks again for all of you help.

you could get the 800 with the x package and a 500. I drove a buddies 500 for a while it was a pretty decent quad, lots of power to clean the tires out in deep mud anyways. Boy the dealers gonna like you

im 6'6" 260 and the ds is super tight. just go sit on a raptor. ur knees will be like 3 inches under the handle bars. i fit pretty good on the ds. i would def. go with the ds in terms of comfort. my ds does pretty good on trails, just sometimes i wish i had reverse. i think the later model ds's had reverse, although im not quite sure. you could always pick it up if u get it stuck in mud or somethin, its not really heavy.
