I have seen several posts on the cooling fan probs.Never thought about mine much i just assumed it came on as it's supposed to.I was wrong.Paid attention this weekend riding it very hard but when i slowed to go into some trails the red temp light came on.I started going faster in an open area and light went back off.if i go slow it comes on.Tested it today. It's fried. With several people having problems am i the only one to think maybe a recall is in order from Bombardier.$156.00 for a new fan is crazy.Bikes 8 months old.Going down to the electric shop on monday and checking if they can rebuild it.Anyone tried this????

I agree , that fan should last years. I would try calling Bombardier customer service on that, they helped me with a problem once. Can't hurt to ask,I have seen other posts on that same problem and I don'tsee how you could have hurt it unless it has been under water . And taking it to a rebuilder might work.

Just a thought about the fan being under water, what about when you wash the bike .I think the fan should be water proof, just an opion. Before you took it of did you check the thermostatic sensor,I had to replace mine.Hope this may help.

I haven't had a problem yet but when I do I am not putting a stock one back on it. The fan looks too small to me. I should be able to find something with more air flow.

don't think it has worked since i bought it.bigger fan would be nice but don't know where to look.also the fans a pain to get off.the deflector shield on the back of fan hits the header pipe(ron woods).it has to come off first(that's the pain part.)
