Default Looking at the Renegade

Hey Can-Am dudes. I currently have a 2004 Arctic Cat 400 FIS 4x4, 99 Warrior, and 96 warrior. I am planning on selling all three and buying just what I want. I have started researching the Renegade. I ride on my own property that has some good hill climbs and I would call it moderate in some places. I like the AC for working around the property but for fun I pull out a Warrior.

The question is, would the Renegade be the best of both worlds. I like to go fast but I also like to cruise around the woods. The AC and Warriors just don't do it for me.

Do they make a rack for the renegade?

Thank you

My dad loves his renegade 800. Lots of power, rides wheelies, fast, and goes through mud pretty good. If you needed it for work and play then maybe you should check out the outlander. It has the same engine, hp, etc as the renegade but a different body design, racks and a little more directed towrds work.

I don't need it for real work, I have 30 acres and I am building trails. I have been researching all afternoon and see a decent rack that fits on the back. I think that will do it for most of my projects. thanks for the input.

I think the renegade is the best of both worlds. If I did it all over again, I would have one so I wouldn't have to have a sporty and a ute! Good luck and let us know how you like it if that's the way you go....

If I could afford one, I'd own a Rene in a heartbeat. I've seen Renegades do some crazy stuff, even in the huge dunes. It's one of the best all around quads if you like all types of riding. I'd go for it.

I'll give you my experience. I currently have a 08 Renegade 800x from an older Grizzly 660. My main reason for buying the Renegade (other than I demo'd one and fell in love with the power) is that I like to ride in all kinds of different terrain (Snow, Dirt, Sand, etc.). With my Grizzly I could do the snow and dirt just fine with no issues, but when I went to the sand with the kids, I found a few hills that I just could not make it to the top. This was an issue that I have to resolve. My first thought was that I would buy a separate quad just for the sand, but from my experience in riding my kids quads is that they are a rough ride compared to the bigger Grizz plus I didn't want to have another quad to store around the garage. So I ended up with the Renegade. There is no hill that I can't make to the top with this bike that I have found and the ride is better than a sport quad. So far I have the best of both worlds and I'm enjoying it. Just my two cents.
Cheers,
