Default K&N air filter

I have a 2004 outlander 400.
Was thinking of getting a K&N air filter.
Does it run any butter with them,
Thanks Terry

In that type of bike you probably wouldnt notice a difference. If your riding in mud and water or really dusty conditions you would be better off with a twin air foam filter. Perforamance gains with just a filter are slim to none.
