Ds650 rear shock question
I was wondering if anybody knows the stock psi on nitrogen that's supposed to go in the rear res?? I've got a nitrogen tank and built a setup to fill shocks etc.
Thanks |
From my shop manual...
Gas Pressure Adjustment Preset pressure regulator to 2070 kPa (300 PSI), this gas pressure will restore the correct pressure for the damper |
My shop manual for the 02-03 says a maximum of 242 psi or damage to the reservoir will occur

Stir what year is your DS650?
|
2000. I charge it every year when I do a full service on it at the 300Lbs. May be different for different years...
|
ya, most likely...I'm going in to a dealship today to get a new ring kit, plugs and water pump seal...when I go in I'm going to try and get the info before I buy the parts...
|
ok so i asked at the dealership today and the mechanic said that it was 242psi...but i think he was generalizing for all ds650's and i figure it might be different for each year or something...

my shop manuel for 2002-2003 on page 08-03-3 says 280 kpa or 242 psi
|
The 00'-01' has a 300 psi charge for the rear reservoir.
The 02'-03' has a 242psi charge for the rear reservoir. The 04'-07' has a 300psi charge on the Front and 142psi for the rear. This is per the factory service manual! |
talon, do you mean that the other way around? 300psi rear and 142psi-front???
