Default DS650X handlebars??

how many of you guys have swapped your handlebars out from stock?? our quads have the handguards... if our OEM bars are steel, and another set is alum. the wall thickness of the metal is different?

i guess what I'm asking if our OEM handguards will fit into another set of bars...like TUSK T-10 alum.???

they will but you have to ream out the ends for the plug to fit. i run pro tapper 1 1/8 in atv mid bars. this is what i had to do. it had no bad effects on mine.

Just rolled my Baja X last weekend and bent the crappy stock bars. Looking to replace with Pro Tape SE High Mount Bars. Do anyone know were I can get the fitament on the end of the handguards? This way there would be no modification necessary.

Bike stood up pretty well. Just cracked the plastic foot rest and a slight little tear in the seat.
Rolled it back over and road for another hour or two until my leg starting throbbing. Bike takes a better beating than the body!

I have the same bars, but if you change them i had to get a riser or the bars will hit the tank.

I have pro taper bars on my 03 & 05 DS's. They are thicker wall. Just measure the piece that goes in the end of the stock bars & ream the end of the pro taper bars, so they are the same size. & you will need risers, so they don't hit the tank. I'm going to make a few sets of risers for my DS's. I might make a few extra sets & sell them, if theres enough interest.

I am looking into nabbing a IMS fuel tank, will that require different bars or a riser?

Default Risers?

If I get the Pro Tape SE High Mount Bars or Mid Mount, which brand risers did you get? There are so many. How much height will I need to clear the tank?
