hey guys have not been around in quite awhile since i sold my ds650x. but am looking at a 08 ds450 still in crate at a dealer for 4800$ otd,seems like a great price. whattya think? want to keep mostly stock. what are the weak areas anybody has spotted on these? thanks for any answers!!!

 

Oooo man, your so lucky. Thats exactly what I want to get sounds like a good price, and they are fuel injected, and deffinitly alot lighter then the Big DS's. Hardly no one are letting the ds450 go. Even through these hard times people are holding on to the ds 450's. Good luck with it.

 

not an amazing price IMO. i got a 09 ds450 X XC for $5000 OTD. when i was there they had a 08 ds450 for about $4200 OTD if i remember right. i remember the tag said $3800. i talked him down to down from $5600. i think i got a great deal on mine. the 08's have a couple recalls, make sure you ask them about it. the clutch is the main weak point. the baskets are weak and need replaced. i haven't replaced mine yet, but plan on it when i get money.

they are great bikes, i've had a lot of fun with mine out at Glamis. mines all stock still until the warranty expires then its getting a pipe, air box lid off, and the pink wire mod.

good luck with whatever you do, they are fun bikes and you wont be disappointed.
