Default 02 ds650 baja, Lectron carb seems alittle lean

Hey guys im new to this site, and also new to my 2002 ds 650 baja. I just got the wheeler 3 days ago. It had been sitting for about 2 yr. It has a lectron carb. (says 48 on the side of it)Has full alba exhaust, ported intake, k&N filter, no snokels on air box. I cleaned the carb compltely, new gas, etc. It seems to run pretty good, but i think it could have more power. It appers to have low hours, and is in excellent shape. I am not familiar with this carb. Does this sound like a good carb and exhaust setup? I pulled the plugs today, not sure if they are new or not but they have very little color to them. They arent white but they appear alittle on the lean side. (not really brown either) After a half hour ride last nite when i got it home the header was glowing a faint red. Normal? The plugs in it are ngk dr7ea. Any info on the carb would be great. It has the idle screw on the side but the screw that runs verticle just above it, what is that? What would be a good set point? I cant find any info on the carb. I also want to upgrade the cdi. The rev limiter is sooo annoying. Any info would be great. Thanks guys.
