I've searched on here and found some links on doning this but the links don't work???? I have a 03 ds650 with a broken head lamp assembly and read how the newer one are brighter and just was woundering what all was involved in doin this and if it was much more than a stock replacement assembly. I've searched all over the net and can't seem to get and info on it. THANKS

you can order one from bike bandit.com it is around 75 dollars and you will have to buy the supporting brackets also. i switch mine not to far back and the only difference is the wiring harness wich is simple. i just cut it off and spliced it together.

I still have the instructions from when I did my conversion. I just tried to scan the pages and they don't come out the clear. I can try to scan and email them to you if you want.

Does anybody still have the link, or can it be brought up from the old site

Just Found this in an old post - Thanks BajaIowa (Justin)

Hey, just put in a new style headlight in my '03 Baja. You can look at my pics page and see some closeups of the install. It was very easy. All the thanks has to go to ds650uk for getting the part #'s on a previous thread. The install goes as follows.

Remove old headlight keeping all hardware and rubber grommets.
Install the two new brackets on the new headlight
connect wiring- I just used short pieces of wire with male spade terminals on both ends and siliconed them into the plugs
Install headlight on quad. It uses the same bolts that the old headlight uses
There is a plastic cover that needs to be installed on the nose plastic
There are two small holes that need to be drilled into the plastic. The location can be seen on the bottom of the plastic. Just hold the trim piece up to the nose plastic and then flip it over and you will see where the holes are supposed to be.
Put the nose plastic on

It really was easy. Have a look and tell me what you think.

Part #'s
Headlight 705000805
Trim cover black 705000806
Trim cover yellow 705000986
Trim cover orange 705000871
Mounting bracket 705000904
Mounting bracket 705000905
