Default Please Help! Weird question

hey guys, i got a weird question for you. when I bought this quad I was told it was a 2002, and as far as I know, the first time they made the baja edition was 2002. its a Baja edition but when I was starting to take things off so i can change the shift forks, I noticed that the model sticker on the frame says 2001!! WTF?!?? Can someone explain this?? and also I was going to put a Big Gun CDI on it but I heard somewhere that theres 2 plug-in spots on a 2002 and 1 plug-in spot on a 2001? So I dont know which one to get. Somebody please help me....

Date of manufacture sticker? You should be able to get the actual model year form the vin.

Manufactured in 01 for sale as an 02 model year.

Look at your current CDI, it either has a pigtail with two connectors on it or it will have a single plug on top. Whichever it has is the same thing you need to get on the Big Gun. They come both ways. Or you can modify the wiring. The directions are here in the forum.
