ds650 problems!!
damn! my ds650 has been ******* with me ! the other day id go ride it and after 5 mins of riding not hard, it just turned off, even with throttle it did nothing. id stop and it would start back. the next day i put on a uni air filter and jet kit. i did what the jet kit said, 2nd groove down the top and a 185 main jet. but even before the jet kit it would do it. here recently ive been seeing some gas come out the over flow tube. and lastnight i was riding to my friends and it did the same thing. except i went to start it and the battery went dead pretty fast? so i got towed home and then i just started it and it ran fine until like 5 or 10 mins of riding it. whats the problem? i need help really bad! any input ill consider!

two differant problems.
leaking float, clean it first and see if it stops leaking, if not replace the needle and seat
test the battery, charging system... fully charge the battery with a charger and test the battery with a volt meter. standing voltage should be around 12.5 dc volts. then test the battery with the atv running it should be around 13.2 dc volts. then test it with a increased idle it should raise to about 14.5dc volts ... report your findings... the ds650 like to have the voltages correct. you might get away with a good battery charge,if its been sitting alot.

Ya, bartmann has it. Usually a good cleaning will unstick the float and stop the overflow issue. As for the battery, is it a new one? These sealed batteries are picky. Once they go they go. Maybe it's just time for a new one? Running the test Bartmann recommended will give you that answer.
