Default Thinking about getting a ds650

Hi everyone im new to the forum. Ive stumbled upon a 2006 ds650 baja .With a bad crank. I was wondering how much im looking at to get a new crank? ive looked a ebay and found a few that need rebuilt for cheap and one that was $700 assuming its new in the box oem lol. Ive tried to look around for other sights with no luck. The seller says the top end is good its just the crank that needs replaced. Also what type of typical issues am i looking at with this year and model Thanks!

My question to the seller would be what caused the crank to go bad. Did he strip the drain plug and run it dry to burn out the bearings? I've seen several bad cranks and they were on bikes with stripped drain plugs. Never have seen a crank go bad on a DS that was properly maintained.
Used OEM cranks that don't need rebuilt show up on ebay every now and then for around $2-300. Not often though.
