I have the lightened swingarm so far. I wasn't aware of a lighter axle. How much does it shave off? 04' and newer axles?

04 Axel is shorter so it should be a little lighter. The nut on the axel changed also so you can actually preload the bearings then unload and tighten. Ive been thinkin about running the 99-03 longer swingarm with the 04 axel.

Check out the omr stock carb mods for sum free power

Will do the carb mods. Tell me more about the axle if you can. Was it just 04'? Or 04' and up? What length did they change it and why?

04 and up. I think its a 1/2 inch each side. Then the Spindes are that much longer. To make up the difference of length. So they shaved a little steel weight and replaced with aluminum weight. Total length is the same. Thats what it sounds like to me. This is from little bits of conversation i read in forums. Ds650.org & nomerceyracing. Those guys kno for sure. Ds650.org has factory change list they compiled also. Guys on those sites do alot more swapping& selling of ds stuff. Theres dura blue axels on ebay. I wanna swap my chain n sprocks for a 520 set

I have several items for sale, Dura blue axle, ASR upper A-arms, Two stock carbs and all jets needed to do OMR mods. Also a full set of ITP Sand Stars on custom powder coated ITP wheels. Do a search in the for sale section to see pics.
