Oil Filter Housing
#13
One additional comment to make while we are talking about oil and filters. Be sure to have the 10-hour inspection and oil change done. Also if you are changing your own oil be sure to follow the operators guide on bleeding the oil circuit before putting the filter in. I read this twice, and then found it was easier to just bleed the system and not start it then go back and bleed it. Be sure you have an impact driver for that screw, it is in tight. I know this from experience, you do not want to ride with the red light on, it does not take long for the crank bearings to be damaged with no oil. FYI hope this helps.

I don't have the filter # but your dealer should have filters in stock if he does the 10 hour service on a 2001 model. If he doesn't know the difference, he must not change the filter like he should. I found out that my dealer didn't know about the difference!
