Can am

Bought an 07 can am 650 xt.... ran fine for a couple weeks till the other day it popped ( sounded like it backfired ) and I lost all power and it stalled ... tried starting it and it's like there is no gas and it's fighting to get fuel to run ... did a compression test after ruling out a gas issue and it's 150 top cyl and 0 in the bottom cyl ... what's your opinion ? Crank chain ? Piston ? Thanks in advance

Rats. That's tough luck, and also the experience many of us have had or will have in our ATV ownership. We buy used ATVs knowing there are likely problems to solve.
Low compression in one cylinder means a valve not sealing or a hole in the piston. Maybe it dropped a valve as they say for some reason and it smacked the piston. I think you are in for some interesting engine work. You might find it easier just to get a quality rebuilt engine for your "core" . Your Can Am will be worth a lot more with a rebuilt engine than it is now.
