Custom X exhaust

The Custome X Muffler was displayed along with it's rteview at this site: http://www.bombardierds650.com/
However, it is not there now. This muffler is custom made by a guy in Australia. He makes them when ordered and they are the best looking mufflers in the market today. Also, quality is beyond expectations.
Furthermore, delivery is within 10 days.
I did find my invoice but it does not have an e-mail address.
The Company name is: Matrix Automation PTY LTD
There address is:
6 Kingston Heath Court
Connolly
Perth, WA 6027
No phone number listed on the invoice eaither.
Hope this helps.

The review is still there, I just looked at it. http://bombardierds650.com/reviews/customx.htm From looking at the decibel readings it won't pass sound testing in a lot of locations. Nice looking with what looks like good performance.

Another goodie that may make the decision on this pipe is that the newer model also comes polished. I just got back an e-mail from Peter Van Loenhout (the person who created the pipe) (E-Mail: pvanlo@q-net.net.au) who re-stated the same basic stats we already have and added that it comes polished as well as can have a spark arrestor added from the factory. He also said he plans to send me some current dyno results on the new pipe as well. (I will of course post them on the forums as soon as they arrive.)
It doesn't need to be stated, but the thought of a polished pipe just about has me drooling. A pipe with good performance, sound, workmanship, price AND looks seems like a difficult deal to pass up.
This is an area the other makers should examine.

I would love to see that same info, in fact it would be great to see a side by side comparison of all of them. I don't believe that is going to happen in the near future though. Research of exhaust pipes that I am considering purchasing has been done by calling places that make them, reading anything current owners have to say and reviewing articles. If I do buy the Custom X I'll be able to give you a 'seat of the pants' and 'standing next to the ATV noise report. Other than that, I really don't have a dyno or anything of that sort to allow for a more accurate comparison.
We ought to setup a DS650 get together in Las Vegas to compare everyone's toys.. that and have some fun while there. If we got enough people together, surely someone coule get ahold of the various tools needed to test the power and noise output of each machine.

I think that's a great idea! I've finally found a dyno shop here in town, so that would be no problem. [I had to find a street bike shop to get my quad on a dyno] Is anyone else intrested in meeting together some weekend here in Vegas?

I just got an email from Pete, he said he will have dyno and decibel readings (done by a 3rd party dyno testing co.) in a couple of days, is getting them scanned. He said it's 90 decibel at full throttle, didn't say at what distance though. He said they reworked the insides to lower the db's. He also said the lead pipe is now one piece mandrel bent. Polished stainless steel other wise as pictured in the review.
