At the time i purchased the pipe it was my understanding that i could get better performance out of it. That is, without the quite core insert. Plus, i thought it looked alot better than the e-series. I can not tell you that it is a better system than the e-series, however, i do not have any complaints with it. I noticed an improvement, on my DS, when i first installed it. Therefore, I am an advocate of the pipe(slipe on). If anyone has any input, about this pipe, I would be glad to hear it.

Hey Knutz I just wondered what the total cost of the team Pami 760cc kit is. I was just on the website looking at it.

Lakota, I got my DS 2 weeks ago. The dealer had a Ds with the Wood's Stage 1. I didn't feel any hesitation from low to top. It was faster than stock, but it seems to me the rev limiter alone would make a noticeable improvement. The limiter on the stock DS really hurts in a drag race. You can feel it still pulling strong and it cuts in. After I get mine broken in good and pay down the balance some, I'm seriously considering a Stage 1 kit. later

2001 DS 650 all stock for now

I just talked to FMF. The Slip-on IV-Q will be out very soon for the DS. That is the quiet one.
They also have a QuietCore EndCap for the IV square, which I just ordered. The Q is supposed to be about 92+ decibels, The IV square with QuietCore Endcap under 100, the IV square 105 decibels. The IV square with endcap is a little louder than the Q, but with a bit more oomph.

Custom X is certifying their Series 2 pipe to not exceed 93 decibels at full throttle if installed correctly and not modified.

I am eagerly awaiting to hear your personal review of the series 2 slip on. I'm going to be moving very soon and as soon as I get my deposit back I plan to hook up with a Custom X Series 2, so it'ed just be that much nicer to hear an in-person review before I make my purchase. The price is still $350 US Dollars, correct?

Yes, I was quoted $350 US not including shipping for the Series 2 Custom X.

I myself have the custom x couldn't be happier. But good old Ron Wood has a pretty good pipe also haven't heard any complaints and he knows a little about the rotax motor. Those would be my top 2 choices
