I saw an HMF on a 400EX the other day. It sounded pretty good and seemed to perform well. I hope someone in here gets one to report.

Would be nice if these Mfg. would do some sound testing and provide the info. Some of us do ride in dB sound controlled areas.

Wow, only $189 ! plus my OH tax ....

For that kind of price I may have to check it out. I saw a post in the Yamaha forum bragging about the power it made on a Raptor.

I don't ride in any areas where I *HAVE* to worry about the noise my ATV makes, but I *WANT* a quiet pipe. I like the idea of something mildly louder than stock, but if the pipe is so loud I can't think while riding, there isn't much fun to be had while your ears are ringing for days after a riding trip. I'm interested in seeing what the latest batch of Custom X pipes produces as far as sound level. I figure I only want to buy one pipe for my ATV so I'd like it to be the right one. With the price of the HMF, it sounds like it could be a strong contender if it works well.

I personaly don't have one but from what I've heard and read about them, they pack as much top-end as a Big Gun and about 5 more in the midrange. I think they said in the one magazine the mid HP increase was because of the absence of packing! For 189 dollars, if that is a complete system you can't go wrong!!
