He also destroyed the set of Elkas???? I remember when Jimmie posted the pics ("big air pics on DS" or some similar title). That wasn't long ago and someone said he was waiting for the new Elkas!! Did he really kill them in a month? Aren't they with a big 5/8" shaft?
Did anyone say rough rider?

ds650 ball joints are bad right out of the box ...and so is every thing else on the ds dont buy one !!! I hate mine with a passion .cant even sell the dumb thing .thinking about bringing it to the next race ,and burning it !!! roast hot dogs from it ,and get the ins money from it ! opps did i say that ?? the ds rides like a tank and handles the same .frick I ride it for a half hour and my thumb is sore from the stupidly stif throttle and ive got arm pump galor from fighting the steering to battle this tank to keep it in the trail .

zorro they lasted a 1/2 hour, Biggy can i have your motor if you decide to trash it, sure the quad sucks but the motor is great, a few more mods and mine will be all better, also biggy get a twist grip and some plus 1 wider and plus1 forward a-arms and it'll handle like a dream (mine does).

Biggy, I can see why you are having problems selling your DS. I've asked you several times in the past how much you want for it and you never responded, it's hard to sell that way.
I've had no problems with ball joints to date. My lowers have even went through a powder coating oven[400 degrees] and come out fine. Maintaining things[grease the zerks] does a great job of helping things to last. I ride alot of desert trails, and that is about as hard on a ball joint as you can get, not to mention the air I like to get[40-70 feet, not huge]. The stock ball joints are actually about as good of a unit as Moog made, and they do have a good reputation for there stearing components. The only time I replaced my ball joints, was when I removed them from destroyed a-arms to install them in new arms.
