I can only tell you what I've seen. When I race one if I get traction (this was before the purchase of my pipe & new rear tires) we are about even out of the hole. The Raptor has a good amount of low end power. But once into 4th & 5th gear the DS is faster. I've been behind a Raptor in 3rd gear & end up winning. ATV Sport once had the times. To me they seemed the most truthful of any I've seen. The Raptor was faster 0-30mph, The DS was faster 0-50 mph & the DS was just a tad faster on top end. That is usually how it works out. In fact once while racing a Banshee I won about 3 times in a row. So he says lets find a longer lane so I can get into my Banshee's 6th gear. The outcome.... I still won. The DS is fast on top end & the Banshee guy was totally impressed.

I kind of feel sorry for the Banshee guys. It used to be buy a Banshee & whoop everyone. But now you've got to deal with DS's, Raptors, C-dales & even 416EX's.

Hey Andrew~
I've had the same experience with racing a Banshee. The trail was long but very whooped out. We were about dead even until we topped out and only then did I slowly start to creep ahead. This could have been partially due to the superior suspension on the DS, but the Banshee owner was really impressed that my "overweight banana" beat his almighty Banshee on top-end!

Thats an easy one....since my Raptor has never...EVER...lost to a DS on top end (low-mid too), the Raptor is the fastest.LoL

Seriously though....they are about the same on top end....production variances could easily be the determining factor.
