I have some sad news there is no longer any legal public ridding places in Redding california, The Shasta ORV Ridding area is closed because it is so close to shasta dam, they don't want any bad guy's blowing up the dam. We drove up there saterday and were turned away by the guard, he said it's going to be real long time till it opens up agian.
So that sucks because I have not ridden since I went to sand mountain in september,ok now for next part of my tale,I got borred yesterday so rode the quad up the steet to get the mail, well when i got back my next door naboor walked over into my yard and said if I pilled out agian he would blow my F!@# head off, then he said he whould wipe out our house and property, then he siad he would call the cops on me. Now im thinkin this guy's got be crazy for those of you who know me im a pretty big guy im 6'3 330, this other guy is 5'6 and in his late 60's. I told him very nicley like you talk to a child to get out of my yard sir, then I walked in side before I did somthing I regreted. Now if he ever says anthing to my sisters or my dad he will be in world of pian. What would guy's have do in that sitation, all I was thinking was if I hit the guy he would of had a heart attack and i would be in jail right now

I have a neighbor like that but he doesn't talk to me anymore he just spies. Luckily I'm moving soon. Those old jack offs think they own everything. If he said those exact things to me I would get a tape recorder provoke him again and get it on tape. If he threatens your life on tape especially while he's standing on your property he's in deep **** or you could go the other route
and wait a month then do some covert operations if you know what I mean

Were you riding in the guys yard ? Were you getting crazy on the street ? Some old people got so many aches & pains it don't take much to **** them off. It sound like this guy really has some problems. I wouldn't be afraid of this guy, maybe take over a six pack of PBR and he will chill out.
I ride my ds down the street (county road ) and mine is kinda loud, but I don't get crazy, always have my helmet on, turn my headlight on, and most people wave at me ( even cops ). I'm glad he is not my neighbor.
But what sucks worse is them taking away your riding area.

Tell him to move to my street. My DS, super fast 250R down the street with 2 smaller quads, people from other neighborhoods ride over, 3 on Sunday, 2 Harleys with straight pipes, my 85 Mustang alarm setter offer. I got super lucky moving into this cul-de-sac. Everyone rides and is super cool.

BigWaynster, I was not going fast at all I stayed in first gear and never spun my tires once, I live at the end of a suburb its one of the last lots, we just spent a year building what could be called my dad's dream house 4 beedrooms 3 1/2 bath an office 2600 square feet. Well the way the street works out is you can ride behind about 5 house, first one beeing ours, cut through a open lot, mail box is right across the street go back to the dirt road then back to my house, all the other houses are finced in so I can't really ride in is yard just behind it. I know it’s not legal to ride on the paved street but I just crosed it to check the mail thats only law i broke. This guy just ***, but what think i'm goanna do is do doughnuts in my back yard film him threaten me, he can't do anything to me if I'm my own yard

I guess the folks in my area must be really cool then. I live in the middle of Las Vegas, and ride my quad on the street all the time. The closest dirt is about a 15 minute trailer ride away, so when I make jetting changes or something, I want to test it right away. As some of you have heard[and other have read], my DS is extremely loud. I will tach it out in 3 or 4 gears too. I just slow down when kids are visable, and only do it durring daylight. I've ridden past cops too, and they just nod at me and smile.

Hey Knutz, I noticed that when I ride in Nevada people are really friendly if they see on my quad they smile and wave, it's a real nice feeling. Now in Redding at least in the naborhood's it seem like if own a quad or motorcycle you've done something bad, or you get dirty looks from people driving by it seems like a hostile environment. Its kind of frustration when you never done anything bad, like running the quads at night or early in the morning, I've never raced down the street or anything. I guess I'll wait till i am a little older and move to Nevada, I like desert riding anyways.
