Maybe he decided the performance wasn't up to par with the amount of money he spent and he decided he'ed sell it and buy a DS instead.

What a stupid SOB. Wouldn't make any difference if it was a Bomber or a Raptor, you still get raped when you make a lot of mods and then go and sell. I have a $20,000 + Banshee, and it ain't going anywhere soon, because I'm not giving anyone the pleasure of paying pennies on the dollar for a truly fantastic performing machine. Moral of story: if you're gonna drop those kind of bucks on an ATV, (or anything motorized for that matter) you better make damn sure you'll keep it for a LONG time. Otherwise, bend over and grit your teeth, 'cause it's commin' home and it ain't gonna feel good!

$26000 invested, the only bid on it was $15000[and that person was hoping they wouldn't get it]. I agree that you lose your shorts when you sell a custom vehicle, but wow, that hit is increadable, esspecially when you consider that it's only been together for a few months.

I've not had the chance to ride with it, but I ride with folks that have come across it on the trails and dunes. By there compairison, there is no compairison. Although it is faster than a stock Raptor, it wouldn't have a chance against my DS. It certainly isn't $26000 sort of fast. Oh well, he did get his publicity out of it, I wonder if he thinks the publicity is worth the $10,000-$15,000 he will lose on it.

Send me $26,000 and I'll build you 2 DS's that look as good or better, and out perform it as well.

It sounds to me like the guy who owns it couldn't pay for it once it was done, and now has to sell it to pay his bill. That might explain why the shop salesman is the one that has been out riding it.

I was going to bid on it, but the auction is over, shoot I missed it.... If I had that thing I would be afraid to have any fun on it, isn't that what atv's are for. have fun, get a little crazy ( roll that thing down the hill once, hardly worth 25 g then )
