Today I was ridin' my DS, and I started smelling gas. so I took the seat off and found that on the left(from behind quad)air feeder hose had the other hose that runs into it came out (the on with the nut type thing on it) and also I found a small clear hose dripping gas down on to my motor, so how do I get the air hose back in and where does the little clear hose go? and has anybody else had this problem?

Thanx

I'm not sure by your description what the "air feeder hose" is. My DS in an 00 and the 01's may be different but I can't remember a hose on the left with a nut on it. But the small clear plastic hose sounds like the fuel overflow hose, about 1/8" inside diameter. If so, it doesn't really go anywhere. On mine it was wrapped a couple of times around the tank, under the cover, and then dumped out just above the cooling fan motor. So every time I overfilled the tank or I rode hard enough to slosh gas around it would drip gas right on the cooling fan motor, neat huh. On mine I just added an 1/8" splice and a length of hose so it would drain on the ground instead of the motor. Any auto parts store should have the hose and splice.

I know the black 1/2 hose with the nut on it stabs into one of the corrugated intake lines, dont worry its not a perfect fit just kinda sticks in
That line by the way is the crankcase breather line
