Talk with Knutz here on this forum, great source of info. What about a ported intake, quicksilver carb, scooby's turbo/efi or NOS. Just some random thoughts.

The best starting point I can recomend is a 3 part set up.
1-A quality exhaust, I recomend the Big Gun race series, but there are others that will do.

2-Team Pami ignition box, recurves the timing as well as eliminates the rev limiter that is set too low for most people

3-K&N air filter w/water resistant pre-filter that mounts directly on the carb. The tube that runs from the air box to the carb is too soft and collapses under high flow.

These 3 mods have shown me 7.5-8HP on the dyno on 3 different bikes.

The next step from there might be a set of our sport cams and maybe an 11.2:1 compression piston.

Our best bang for the buck though, is our 703 motor. Around 58 RWHP and more torque than our competators can dream of throughout the power band. At no RPM will you drop down to stock power levels, gains across the board.

Our 760's can be tailored to make power in any range you want as well, and the gains are dramatic. The only trade off is price but reliability and ridability are as good as stock.

I can creat a package for any desired power level or budget.

If your looking for low and mid range power, your going the wrong direction with the 17 tooth sprocket and 22" tires. These will help your top speed at the cost of acceloration. A smaller countershaft sprocket and shorter tires give you better low end power, but the shorter tires may cost you some traction.

Hey Knutz,

I think you have answered my questions for you. My only other questions are:
1. With doing the ignition box, air filter and exhaust do you also suggest doing a dynojet jet kit, or just rejetting with stock jets?

2. With doing these mods, do you have to change or rebuy anything when going to the 703 kit? and does the 703 have to be done at your shop or can we buy all the parts through you and do it ourselves?

Thanks for the info

Hey Roostin is my friend and he wants to know a good set up for long drag races on the river bed. He already has the Big Gun racing series pipe. He went to the 17T sprocket to raise his to speed and to stop the rev limiter from hitting so fast in 1st and 2nd gears. Knutz we want to know are the cams for he DS easy to install and whats the duration on those?

I would love to answer your questions, but I have been e-mailed about a no advertizing policy. I seems a certain person[MakyNark] decided to complain about my posting about my products, so the policy that has stood from the beginning is now being enforced. I completely understand the policy and what the owners of the forum are trying to avoid with it. I have e-mailed the responcable parties, and will respectfully refrain from any advertizing untill I have clarification from them as to what it is that I'm allowed to say.

I hope that the forum owners recognize that I'm trying to help everyone, and allow me to continue giving the free advice that people ask of me. Personally, I think it would be great if all of the aftermarket industry leaders were here to give advice that is asked of them, and tell of there products when asked about them.

If anyone has an opinion on this situation[either supporting my business on this forum, or wanting me to stop], I think it would be benifitial to let the moderators or other parties know. If other members don't want me here, I will refrain from posting.

Well, I have just emailed the moderators to let them know what I think. I personally think it stinks that people have gotten on you about posting about your products. I believe you are an invaluable source for info on these machines.

If you look at markys post above he is advertising for someone at some racing place. I think that should be reported also.

I for one would like to thank you Don aka Knutz for your helpful info and good explanations in topics that I have read. I don't think most of your posts are advertising type posts, but if someone asks you to tell us what you would use, you just tell us.

Well anyway, Take care and have a good Thanksgiving
