Scooby, I have seen the turbo run at Little Sahara more than once. Its pretty impressive,But what is this 150hp big bore machine? is this a project that you and Knutz are working on?does it work with your existing turbo? IS it a 830cc-turbo combo? Let me know when your going to Little Sahara to test it, I gotta see this.

All the details have not been worked out yet. At a minimum, it will have some head work, larger bore, and will be a turbo/EFI on Methanol. I might trade off some HP gain for a shorter down time. I want to have it ready by snake hunt which is earlier for 2002 - April 6th/7th. I should be dialing it in during March.

Hurycne, Its the annual Snake Hunt At Waynoka, OK. Its a small town next to Little Sahara. Its without a doubt the biggest event of the year at Little Sahara. And I hope that ScoobyDFW has the bugs worked out of that MONSTER by then. Their will be a slew of fast rigs to "pit" it against. I CAN"T WAIT.

Can NOS be added to a turbo setup? Just wondering.

NOS can be used with a turbo, BUT you're really pushing it with all stock components. Currently I haven't retarded the ignition timing or lowered the compression ratio, just ran Methanol. The big bore might have lower compression, upgraded crank bearing, stronger con rod, etc. which is what you'd want to run NOS w/turbo. I've thought about running NOS, but I figured I'd just run 10-20% Nitro w/Methanol if I needed a little more power. My EFI unit does not have built in support for NOS and doesn't control ignition timing. Also, I have a bunch of add ons with the EFI and associated components as well as the turbo, so adding NOS would take up more space. I want the setup to be reliable or at least more reliable than a 2-stroke.

The usual I guess? You know alky-Banshee's, Turbo-banshee's,1275ccAlcoholburning nitro Banshee's And even those twin and triple cylinder snowmobile dudes. I did see a couple of fast four strokes last time I went. One guy had NOS on his raptor, and another guy had a bigwheel kit on his DS(looked sweet)and he ran real good,by "good" I mean he outran my modded end cap,by atleast 30yards.I wish I would have had a chance to talk to him to see what he had done to his quad. I will be anxious to see how your "BEAST" will run against that type competition. Hope you bring a wheelie-bar, If I remember correctly that turbo is hard to hold down.

Biggerisbetter.,
