I have never been to Little Sahara. Does it cost money? I live in OKC and would like to go on a "warmer" weekend. Next weeken, I think I am going to Rocky Ridge in TX. Is that any good? What kinda quad soes well there???

You should deffinetly go, it cost 7 bucks a day,, and well worth it. I try to go atleast once a month.

Buttfungus,I almost have them talked into it. If I succeed I will need to know more about the dunes. For instants, were does everyone hangout(park their trucks)?I dont know when we'll show up so if you now ahead of time were you guy's are going to be that would be helpful. Also do you think their will be a hotel room available in town. are the dunes and trails simalar to LS? for some reason I'm picturing alot of desert trails and don't want to puncture a paddle tire. I'm sure I have more questions but these would help a bunch.

biggerisbetter, Sounds great! I think there is just one large parking area. If that's full you can park anywhere along the road. I will drive my 01 Red f150 supercrew. We will have 2 yellow and 1 black(mine) ds's. I just talked to a local rider down there and here is what he said:


I would stay at the Kermit Inn on SH-302, (915.586.6693) it will be on your right just past the Alco parking lot, rooms are $55/night for double bed, their is another place to stay app. 1/2 mile west of this place on your left past the light, like mentioned before, their is a DQ & Sonic on SH-18,(turn right at light off SH-302, just west of motel) Pizza Hut, Country Kitchen and a couple of other places to eat, Allsups/Chevron/Subway on SH-302 (past the light) also, their is another Allsups/Fina on SH-115 and East Ave. about the same on the gas prices, their is a hospital for minor stuff, broken bones will have to go to Odessa 45 miles east of Kermit, other than that, just another small town...


dunes - no major rules except their is no glass bottles at the park, but not really enforced, open dunes on the North side with some trails west of park, lots of trails on south side of road, from Kermit Inn go back on SH-320 (east) turn left on east ave. (this will take you by Allsups/SH-115) turn right and 10 miles/10 minutes, turn left on FM-874, park is on right, that just about it I think, except

Coolness!, We will have a banshee and some rappy's and a couple of 400ex's in our group as well. He just got some new toomeys's on his banshee! I didn't have a chance to get any paddles though for mine yet. Oh well we will still have a blast. We will be looking for ya!
