I just got back from a test ride with the baja and the new mods, big gun exhaust and dynojet jet kit.

I am still running the stock air filter setup.

I jetted a little on the rich side, because I ride a lot in the lower altitude.

At first I thought it was ok, and it ran good, but the low end power was still missing, so I stopped and pulled the airbox lid off.

It came alive. The bike pulls good all the way through the rpm range. I planned to take the lid off up here anyway, because of the richer jetting. Then I can run down at lower altitudes with the lid in place.

Anyway, I like it and it runs real good. The only problem I notice is that I am constantly bouncing off the rev limiter. I need to get one of those bad. I am kind of waiting to get one already setup for the baja, so I can just plug and play, but I may buy one sooner and rig it up myself.

Only other thing I notice is that when I let off the throttle sometimes I hear a pop, not everytime and it is usually only like 2 pops. I notice the same thing with my raptor and I think the idle circuit might be a little lean. What do you guys think?

Thanks
Bat

check for any air leaks at the header pipes.

pilot will be too lean. adjust screw under carb and/or increase pilot jet.

scooby, thanks for the reply.

I think I might have a little air leak around the header pipe. I am going to put a little high temp silicone around it and see if that helps. I am not too concerned with it. My raptor has done it since I installed the big gun and no problems. I think it is a small leak near the header pipe in it also.

Also, the mixture screw, I set it as dynotjet said, but I think it was about 3 turns out from the factory. So, I think it is a little on the lean side.

Otherwise it runs great and I really like it.
