Does anyone know anything about this carb? The price is smoking and they are the kings of the street drag world. Jbomb, if you see this fill me in on all the details (Good, bad, etc.).

Gmann,
By the looks of your signature you already bought one,do you have it yet?
What did the whole package set you back(cable, filter, carb, thumb throttle etc)
Might want to try one on my Baja
Thanks
Jeff

I have ordered one with the recommendation from some street bike guys I know. Fast by Gast says it goes on in minutes and is simple to jet. I am expecting it tomorrow or the next day. Had to try it for the cost ($265.00).

$50.00 for the K&N Filter and $99.00 for the thumb throttle and cable (Billet). Less than $450.00 should get everything installed.

Did you get yours from Fast by Gast? You will absolutly love it. Mine came jetted a little rich but you adjust it in two minutes. The throttle response is awesome, I moved my carb straight back about an inch for more torque. You just get a piece of 2 inch filler neck hose and make a new boot. With the thumb throttle it takes a longer pull to open it full, but there is no problem with the HPD billet throttle. Good luck- I would never spend $500 on a carb after the Lectron.

I agree, never spend $500 or more again, on a carb if this lectron works as good on my quad as it does on the street bikes. How was the install Jbomb?

Which Lectron are you running? Taper Jet? Is it 44 mm at the intake and outlet but only 38 mm in the venturi waist? Does it have a power jet or just the main jet needle with flat? How much diference did you see from extending the intake? Just did the same with two of my 350X/250X conversions, but have not had a chance to really try them out. Limited test looked like a real good idea. I went with a full billet aluminum intake so I could get a smooth transition both at the outlet of the carb and into the ported heads. Yours sounds like a much cheaper alternative. Also you've created a cheap expansion chamber which chould help atomize the fuel better.

Paid $265.00 for mine with cable from TC Tacing. Modified the stock Honda thumb throttle to allow the extra throw. If I'd known about the billet throttle I probably would have just bought it instead. It took about 1/2 hour for me to grind out the old one with a dremel tool. Plus I have a hole in the side of the throttle case which is not a perfect solution.
