I installed the shrouds and Engine Ice at the same time and noticed a tremendous difference. The fan came on only once the entire trip, even with some slow riding. I was in shock how much it didn't come on - I thought maybe it was broke, till it finally came on for a little while. Can't say if it was one the other or both, but the combination seems to work awesome for me here in CA.

Hurycne,

You could try just the engine ice first and see how that does. I'm not sure which product I installed had a bigger effect, though the engine Ice was easier to install (and only $15.) The Radiator shrounds come with the bolts to hold the bracket to the shroud, but not the bracket to the ATV. The stock bolts aren't long enough to mount the shrouds and you have to go find the bolts. I suggest at least two - three allen bolts, one or two normal hex headed bolts to secure the top brackets.

Blackhawk, what is this Engine Ice that you're talking about? An additive, or hardware? I'm intrigued.

I bought it from my local shop, they just started carrying it. The person who owns the Engine Ice company responds to emails promptly and could tell you who your nearest reseller is. I wish I'd had the patience to install just one or the other, but by installing both I have resolved my cooling concerns.

Hmmmmm, we had a rather extensive disscussion on this topic several months back bottom line many cooling system enhancers do not have any antifrezze protection, if you live in colder climes this is important to you, I think the wetter water is one of these, engine ice has antifreez protection, I'll dig up the thread later
