Lets see the results, i must assume that the raptor 690 beat the Knutz 760. I wasnt expecting that if it did win. Such a big difference in cc's and compression I would figure that the 760 would win. The Sparks bike is only like 10.5:1.

 

Yea, same here I also want to know what all happend. Did Vegas650 get to race anyone before his oil line fell off? Were their any other big bore Raptors besides the two sparks 690's?

 

I was there, and I did not sit at the hill all day. There were a lot of things going on, like jeep drags and a lot of good riding to do.

I was at the hill several times and spent several hours in that area, and I did not see any of the sparks bikes. I guess I just missed them. All of the races I saw knutz in, he prevailed. I think there were a couple that he got jumped off the line by the other bikes, but he would come back to win. It was not very organized over there, and every time I asked someone if they saw the sparks bikes, they did not.

It was a fun weekend, but vegas blew his oil line off and fried the engine before it got started. I don't think he even made it into the dunes.

Sand45 raced more than anyone I know and he did very well. He has his suspension set right and it works well. I was not very good at the woops and almost got tossed a couple times.

Knutz had to take off and go to reno, so he will probably not post until he gets home.

Everyone was very cool, it was great to meet all these guys and I think the DS contingent this weekend was very strong.

I did not get to race at all. I got a lot of videos but none of the Sparks Raptor. I do have a couple with their Hondas though.
As I stated in another thread if I remember what Knutz said, he got beat by the Sparks Raptor that was at Glamis, but beat the other one that they had. I'm sure he will tell you guys all about it when he gets back from Reno. He even got to meet Curtis Sparks himself so I'm sure he has the full lowdown on what was in each Raptor.
Also as I mentioned in the other thread I crashed on my wifes 465EX so I'm not feeling realy good. When I start feeling better I will find a place to post videos. In the meantime I have pictures up on my site.

 

It is strange that none of the BIG BOYS have posted. Did jeffinrivercity make it. From everything i have read on the bomb boards, he and scooby have 2 of the quickest bombs.

 

I believe that jeff was going to sand mtn nevada. I could be wrong. I don't think this was a big event weekend like the 4 stroke wars and we all know that sparks won that one.

I don't know what you guys are looking for, but maybe someone can help you guys out.

I did go to Sand Mtn. NV (with my Baja) this past weekend,kinda my stomping grounds.It was a weekend of accidents for our group with (2) trips to the hospital [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]
I don't have my 760cc back together yet,tranny still in florida getting the gears undercut.I will hopefully get it back together soon,then I will be more up for a trip out of town.I would love to see how mine would stack up against some of Curtis Sparks best,if Knutz raced the 690cc raptors he would have a good idea on how I would do.Since me and Knutz have raced many a times.

WHo had the DS that was modified by Marine Works in Henderson?
Raced a Modified Banshee up comp. NICE, only lost by a bike length.
Also raced a Modified banshee build by abbot. Got toasted pretty good.
But then again Abbot can build them, If you can get him to finish the job.
Anyway just wanted to say congratulations to the Individual who was racing.
Sorry to hear about Vegas I was looking for you. I even raced a few time up comp. Mostly for fun though. I have a piped 400 Polaris (with the American flag). Not real fast but bullet proof. If you saw me you probably got a good laugh. I raced some of the 250R up the hill. Painful to watch.

sorry to hear about your crash, glad I didn't see it cuz pain is not fun to watch. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] You're probly getting a couple of black eyes about now ay.
It was great to meet you, sand, bat, knutz and neosurfer there. At least Now I know who I've been talking to.
Anyway our group will be heading back there for easter march 29-31 if anybody else can make it - the more the marrier.

 

As Bat stated, just what are you guys looking for? Knutz and I were the only so called big boys with DS's that were there. Everyone knows my story and I'm sure Knutz will post his comments when he gets back from Reno.
Yes Js I am growing the black eyes . One is almost closed, I don't think the other one will get that bad because I didn't actually break it. By the way no one that has seen it believes me that it isn't broken.
