I am going to be making an order for some tires today. I am going to get the 22"Bandit XC and I am thinking about getting the 23x7x10 front XTC. Do I really need to get the fronts or is it the rear tires that make all the difference? I need some info quick and I know I can count on you guys. I am also lookin at the 22" ITP XCT and fronts if I cant find the Bandits in stock.

Keeping your DS level is a good idea. Bigger front tires will increase caster which is good for high speed stability and sand. If you increase the rear without increasing the front you will actually decrease caster, not a good idea. On my son's Raptor we put 22"razrs on the back and "flipped" the linkage. We gained much needed ground clearance in back, and flipping the linkage kept it level. On my DS the 22" & 23" XCT's work great, and the bigger tires help protect your rims. It's what the DS should come with.

I've got the 23 x 10 x 7" Bandits on mine and I love them.... Absolutely no complaints! Not sure about what terrain you ride, but my experience with the bandits in the back was they didn't work well in mud (pack-up quickly) or very soft conditions. Great for hard pack, rocks, etc.

They also make a bandit 23 inch XCR model(i have) and they work great! Theyre 6 ply too, and the tred is more sand orianted.

Well thanks everyone for the fast responses. It now looks like I wont get to order them till prolly next week but oh well. Dang company shorted me 6 days on my check. grrrr Anyway, I will get the fronts then. I dont hardly ever get it muddy or even wet so I dont have to worry about the Bandits loading up. I think I want them. I will be going with the 23" XCR's in the front and the 22"XC in the back. I think this will really help complete the package for riding everywhere around here. I already have good sand tires so it really will be all good. I will let everybody know how well I like it all when I get them on.

DemonDS,

See if OMF can get you those tires, unless you have something in particular lined up already. They hooked me up with a pretty fair deal on my HoleShot XCTs 23/22" Front/Rear.

I think the 22/23" combo just makes the DS look perfect.
