I'm Also really sorry to hear that Man! Try to think back and remember if someone made any reference to where you live, Or maybe a kid from your neiborhood was really interested in your quad. And If I were you I would HOUND the police till they found something, don't let them put it on the "back burner". @#&DAMN THIEVES!!

Thanks everybody for the support. Unfortunately I did not have insurance, and my homeowners policy probably won't cover it. The bike was bone stock, I had just got the engine back together and was breaking it in before I put the pipe on. The only markings on the bike, other than the dirt are bent lower control arms and a distinct discoloration on the front, right side of the cylinder head, about where the exhaust valves are. I made up flyers with a $500 reward and am going to post them up tomorrow, so hopefully someone will see something.
The lazy bastards didn't even take my paddles and razors, so now I have an almost brand new Alba Pipe, K&N jet kit, Filter and my paddles and razors, but no bike, what a pisser. When I find them, I'm gonna break there fingers, like my pops taught me.

Hey Minty...a couple of things...first of all, contrary to DDrecDS, i WOULD like to hook up with a rider and find out he was on your bike...it would be the last thing he would ever steal...you should look deeper into your homeowners policy...i know things are different here in canada, but if my quad is stolen while it's on my property, my homeowners insurance policy will cover it...i sure hope it's the same for you...and i hope you catch the b@$t@rd that stole your quad.

Sorry to hear the bad news. Check with the local convenience stores / gas stations in the area....someone may have noticed your DS in back of a truck. Also, if your DS was used for upkeep / work on your property, homeowners should pay for it. Did'nt you have a rack on back of your ride? You know....the one you store grass seed and misc small tools for fence repair....

Mintychip,

I'm very sorry to hear about your bad fortune. If it was me I would be crying for days....

Anyway, if nothing else these posts serve as a reminder to people to insure their machines and take whatever precautions they can to secure them.

Good luck getting it back and in good shape.

Mintychip, Man I feel for ya, if I lost my DS I'd want to hurt somebody too. Good luck (really) with the insurance and don't take no for an answer.

I have to agree with WyoDuner in suggesting insurence coverage and securing your DS against the scum of the earth. There has been too many stolen already.
