Anybody had trouble with American Star A-Arm tie rods interfering with the frame mount points for the A-Arms when turning sharp with the front end fully extended?

I installed them (got them from Alba), but never got any documentation from American Star or Alba on how to initially set them up.

Alba did fax me a 1 page document on how to initially set up the uppers, which I did and set the lowers up the same way....

I'm trying to shim up the tie rods to give them more clearance, but I'm still hitting the frame with them. I'm also trying to extend the A-Arm heim joints out some to also try to give it more clearance....still hitting....anybody run into this before??

Pretty sure they're on the right way.....I'll check this weekend....if they are on the right way, they sure do work good in the whoops!!, just the tie rods hit the A-Arm mount points (not on the A-arm, but where the A-arm mounts to the frame).

I have had mine on for a couple of months now and mine don't hit at all. Not sure why yours would either. I'll take a closer look tomorrow while at glamis. Although that is something i would have noticed, I would think. My only problem with them was my own doing. Mine developed a squeek that could be herd for miles. My mistake was using a pressure washer. I washed all the grease out. I had to take them apart a grease them by hand (finger) took a very long time. Now they are great and no squeeks. No pressure washing for me. Lesson learned.

I've installed 3 sets of american star a-arms upper aqnd lowers, my DS and 2 friends DS's. Sounds like you have them on the wrong sides maybe (left on right, right on left). what are you setting the caster and camber at? i can send you pics if you need to be sure about it.
