Southern Utah fire restriction
#1
I was up on Cedar mnt(east of Cedar City UT) this last weekend and the forest service is going to a level II fire restiction for southern Utah forests. I read the order and it says no OHV,chainsaws, ect. after 1 p.m. along with numerous other restrictions. It did say that it would not effect the Coral pink or the Hurricane sand dunes. I am not sure if the Piaute trail is under the same restriction. It is further north and they got more precipitation last winter.
I just thougth I would throw this out in case you have plans to do some mountain riding in the southern Utah area. By the looks of the nightly news I am sure much of the west will be on tight restrictions this summer.
